I believe it is right to racially stereotype for advertising purposes because the whole point of advertising is to captivate the audience and pass information onto them. In terms of advertising there are many different tools advertisers can take advantage of and one of the best ones is to follow social media. There are many examples of racism on television throughout the years.

However with that said, there are lines that no one should cross because one can use racial stereotyping for a comedic piece, but there are certain limits to how far you should take it. No matter how funny the ad maybe, if it angers the majority of your audience, it will be best to avoid it.

Advertises do have ethical responsibilities but everything should not be black and white. It all really comes down to how they execute the racial stereotyping. If done right, everyone will enjoy a good laugh.
